Over the past few years the Lord has raised up several missionaries from our own church body -- whom we affectionately call our "missionary kids" -- even though they are no longer kids! Each one of them has a call from Godd to serve Him full-time on the mission field, in various parts of the world. Shekinah supports them monthly from the missions budget.
At Shekinah we believe strongly that we are "one body". It's not a "missionaries vs. non-missionaries" thing -- some serve "in the field" and some serve "at home"-- but we are all ambassadors for Jesus Christ! It is our desire at Shekinah to wrap our arms around our missionaries who serve in the field, no matter where they are in the world.
Shekinah's website is helping greatly with this, keeping our missionaries "in touch" with what is happening as well as allowing them to download the Sunday and Wednesday night teachings. The purpose of this information is to keep you up-to-date with missionaries that Shekinah is currently supporting.
