The Genesis Process for Small Groups: Finally an answer to Romans 7 as to why we do the very thing we don't want to do. If you are willing to change, Genesis makes you able.
Michael Dye, National Leve II and International Certified Addiction Counselor, has authored a process that addresses the fundamental struggle in all our lives - change - and he's done it in a way that is accessible to all. The Genesis Process is sophisticated enough to satisfy the deeply introspective, yet simple enough for those just beginning to seek answers. Whether the issue is anxiety, anger, alcohol, drug or food abuse, a negative or critical attitude, or spiritual stagnation, this process will help you find new freedom that lasts. You will experience GRACE in a new way and practice the healing power of forgiveness. You will learn the difference between religion and relationship and learn how to really hear God's voice.
There is not one person that cannot benefit from going through The Genesis Process. This is a unique, effective process that is easy for participants to apply to life and easy for the church to facilitate. Join us to learn how to make the church a safe place for hurting people and how to find a personal freedom that will last.
God created us for intimacy, to be bonded with Him and with others. Sometimes, the emptiness and pain of mere survival has kept us from reaching out and trusting others; this puts us in a situation where the thing we need the most is also the thing we unconsciously fear and avoid the most with self-destructive behavior. For 10 weeks on Monday evenings from 6-8 beginning Oct 1 you can take part in a small group and learn about the parts of the brain that relate to self-destructive behavior and how Jesus has given us tools to heal our broken places. If you are ready to make lasting change for good in your life, come join us on Monday evenings in a Genesis Change Group. Sign up on Sundays with Judi Wright at Shekinah at the table in the back of the Sanctuary.
